Calcium Silicon alloy is composite alloy which is composed of Si, Ca and Fe. It is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product.

Application
(1) It is not only widely used in the production of quality steel, low carbon steel and stainless steel but also in nickel-based alloy, titanium-based alloy and other special alloy.
(2) It is suitable for warming agent in converter steelmaking plant.
(3) It can be also used as inoculants in casting and as additive in the production of ductile iron.
(4)It can improve fluidity and preventing the clogging of the tundish valves in continuous casting, also improve mechanical properties of steel such as machinability, drawability, forgeability forjability, casting, welding and surface quality

Advantages
(1) CaSi alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurization agent.
(2) CaSi alloy not only have strong ability of deoxidizing, the deoxidizing products are easy to flow and discharge, but also improve the performance of the steel such as plasticity, toughness and mobility of steel.
