According to latest statistics of China Customs, China ferrosilicon export were 23,994 mt in December 2014, registering a slight increase of 3.2% from 23,246 mt of November 2014 and also a slight growth of 4.4% from 22,981 mt of December 2013.
In December 2014, exports of Chinese ferrosilicon export enjoyed great increases to major destinations as Japan and the US, but large decrease to Iran. In December 2014, Chinese ferrosilicon was mainly exported to Japan 10,181 mt, South Korea 3,806 mt, the US 2,092 mt and China’s Taiwan province 1,739 mt. Compared with November 2014, Chinese ferrosilicon was on the increase to Japan and the US, but on the decrease to Iran.
In the period of January to December 2014 total export volumes of Chinese ferrosilicon were 409,704 mt, registering a marked increase of 28.2% from 319,231 mt of 2013.. In 2014, exports of Chinese ferrosilicon were mainly 174,210 mt to Japan, 73,367 mt to South Korea, 64,466 mt to the US and 20,810 mt to China’s Taiwan province. Other main destinations included Australia, Thailand, Turkey, Iran and India.
